Work Work Work!!
I think the past month has been the busiest I’ve ever been at Adesa. At the beginning of the year we switched roles within our team and traded primary support for certain databases. I got stuck with the PeopleSoft financial database for the first quarter of 09. This is a monster of a SQL Server database. It just so happened that there has been a scheduled major upgrade of this database and applicaiton in February. Lucky me, since I’m primary for this database I have to take the lead role from the DBA side for the upgrade.
I can’t even begin to tell you how extremely busy and non-stop it’s been at work trying to get ready for this upgrade. The fact that I’m taking a huge load this semester at school hasn’t helped either. I’m really looking forward to Spring break when I can take some time off and let life catch back up with me!
