Twitter and Social Networking
I’m really starting to get into the whole social networking thing. I never used to participate very much before CIT499. So far, it’s opened my eyes up to the possibility of social networking sites. I never even used to use facebook and now I find myself very interested in seeing what my friends and others are doing in their lives.
Twitter has been very cool! I like tweeting using the #Indiana tag. It’s such an interesting idea and a great way to put Indiana tweeters on the map. I can see many benefits of twitter and other social networking sites. One that comes to mind is career networking. Especially in today’s day and age when the economy is in a tail spin. I can see twitter being a very good tool to use to try to find work in the area. I’m also addicted to the game of golf and it’s going to be nice getting to talk to fellow Hoosier golfers.
I’m very impressed and pleased so far with what I’m learning about Web 2.0 and social networking. I can’t wait to continue to get my hands dirty with it.
